Down, but not out

So the Sweet Tooth exhibit was a blast, over 250 people passed through and I got to talk and meet a lot of new faces..by the end of the night it was mainly friends which was cool because I got to talk to them without interruptions and they really do see now that what I do I take very serious...after all was said and done I went home happy and excited...and then it hit me..I was soooo drained... artistically, mentally, and physically from this show..it was about a year in the making..I did sculpting, dye cut ceiling spinners, painted my biggest painting to date at 6ft. x 12ft. you know I poured my heart and soul into this show.. but now I feel so empty. I have been trying to sketch and nothing comes out, is it an artist's block?..I know I will pass this, a few of my friends have been in the same boat before.. I think I just want to for at least a week do "normal" things like relax and watch a movie..play video games...lay on my bed look at the ceiling and listen to music through my headphones and let those creative juices start flowing again without having them forced..like everything else this too shall pass..and I really can't wait to get crankin' again...

Sweet Tooth Exhibition

well today is the day.. and I'm usually not to nervous about my shows.. but this one is totally different..I have butterflies the whole bit haha..Something about putting the majority of your work from the past two years out there for everyone to see, judge, love and hate...its like walking into a room butt naked having your soul exposed, just all out there..scary, but exciting at the same time.. I'll make sure to post pics and all that good this weekend!
